Barely four months to the off season Kogi State governorship election, the prevailing political aura in the state is already tilted to the favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU) and Joel Oyibo Salifu (JOS). This clear positive indication towards the APC is not magical, but a result of excellent display of shrewdness and political savvy by Governor Yahaya Bello and other stakeholders who detest failure in politics. The pragmatic Governor Bello leads with undeniable track records of achievements that cut across the three Senatorial Districts, and the people of the state are eager to vote the candidate his party has provided as his successor.
Therefore, in the heart of the good people of Kogi State is a man who knows that expression of petty emotion does not win election; but reality and strategy do. In the lips of every progressive Kogites is the man who stealthily works very hard to win the heart of the people and he is winning. His name is Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, the Flower Boy of the Confluence. Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman does not believe in propagating the embers of ethnic or religious disunity.
Suffice it to say that Alhaji Ododo is not one of the impromptu candidates that suddenly emerged from the moon to contest for the governorship seat of the state. He was duly elected to fly the flag of the APC to victory and a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has just affirmed the authenticity of his election. Just like Senator Smart Adeyemi’s petition that was thrashed to the bin for lack of merit, oppositions angst and gang up against Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman would be neutralised by his victory (Ododo’s victory) in November 11th.

Undoubtedly, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman is well-read, cosmopolitan, prepared, experienced and knowledgeable enough to carry on the task of building Kogi State of our collective dreams. After all said and done, he remains the top choice of the people of the Confluence State ahead of the November 11th election. Fancy Media Team (FMT) vehemently believe that Alhaji Ododo is the real contender for the plum job and 17 others on the INEC list are there to test their popularity for possible future contests.
