Former Kogi State Head of Service, Mrs. Hannah Odiyo, has expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for seeing her through her tenure.

Mrs. Odiyo equally appreciated former Gov. Yahaya Bello who provided the conducive environment for her to perform leading to the various achievements recorded in her three years in office as Head of Service.

The former Head of Service made the disclosure during the handing over ceremony held at the office of the Head of Service, expressed optimism that the Civil Service will continue to take it rightful and pride of place in the present administration of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo.

Mrs. Odiyo listed some of the achievements recorded during her tenure to include prompt payment of salaries, implementation of vehicle refurbishment loan, up to date promotion, review of duty tour allowances (DTA) to facilitate workers official trips .

She also mentioned the monthly releases of Hundred thousand naira to help offset the gratuity of retired civil servants just to mention but a few, described the achievements as the collective responsibility of the entire workforce in the State as made possible by the immediate past administration of Gov Yahaya Bello.

Mrs. Odiyo finally thanked former Gov. Yahaya Bello for given her the opportunity to serve in his cabinet, expressed optimism that the administration of Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo has all it takes to reposition and strengthen the Civil Service for greater service delivery than he met it.

Speaking the new Kogi State Head of Civil Service, Mr. Elijah Evinemi charged Civil Servants in the State to remain diligent and dedicated to their constitutional duties in the public service.

Mr. Elijah thanked the Civil Servants for their cooperation with his predecessor, Mrs Hannah Odiyo, implored them to keep it up for him to succeed in the face of enormous challenges.

He assured the workers of the commitment of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo in repositioning the Civil Service towards making service delivery a top priority.

He also said the administration would prioritize the building of the capacity of the workforce through reforms and strategies as cardinal.

The Head of Service expressed gratitude to Gov. Ododo for finding him worthy to serve humanity, promised to justify the confidence reposed on him.
