The Principal, GYB Model Science Secondary School Adankolo (GYBMSSSA), Chief Ajofe Yakubu Godwins, has appreciated His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for the construction, and successful commissioning of the school by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday.
A statement by the Principal, made available to journalists on Friday in Lokoja, also thanked the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB, for his commitment to the realisation of the remarkable legacy project.
Godwins further extended his heartfelt gratitude to all other stakeholders that had worked assiduously to ensure that the education legacy project became a reality.
”On behalf of the Management, Staff and Students of GYB Model Science Secondary School Adankolo, I humbly wish to register my huge appreciation to His Excellency, the Education friendly Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, for his determination and commitment to revamping education in Kogi State.
”We specially expressed our immense gratitude to His Excellency for committing enormous resources to the construction, completion and commissioning of the gigantic edifice of GYBMSSSA within a short period of time.
”Your Excellency, the management, staff and students of GYBMSSSA are extremely grateful for your good gesture towards our school and the state in general. We say thank you sir!,” he said.
The Principal also commended the Commissioner for the choice of Adankolo to site the magnificent edifice, and all his efforts which had ensured the realisation of the project, saying he would forever be remembered for the gesture.
The Principal equally appreciated the Chairman STETSCOM, Hon Cecilia E Cook, Board members and directors for their immense contributions.
”We expressed our heartfelt gratitude to the indefatigable Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones; the Chairman STETSCOM, Hon Cecilia Cook; the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mr Yakubu Dele Musa and Board of Directors for the huge success recorded in the Commissioning of GYBMSSSA on Thursday.
”We will not forget your contributions to the sterling success of the school. Thank you for the confidence reposed in us. Again, well done,” Godwins said.
The Principal assured the Government and the good people of Kogi State, of the commitment of the management and staff of GYBMSSSA to ensure effective teachings and learning to achieving its intended purpose of quality education.
The President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, had on Thursday during the State visit to Kogi, inaugurated GYBMSSSA alongside several other legacy projects across the state, executed by Governor Yahaya Bello’s Administration.
