GYB developmental strides; Progress report on Ganaja flyover/ Reference Hospital Okene, Kogi State.

As part of the commitment of His Excellency Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, to fulfilling his “Doing More” mantra, the Kogi State Ministry of Work and Housing embarked on project inspection in lokoja metropolis and Kogi central Senatorial District respectively earlier today to ascertained and evaluate the speed and quality of job delivery by the handlers.

The high powered Inspection Team delegated by the Honorable Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr. Abubakar Ohere first visited the site of Ganaja Flyover, Lokoja where the substructural works are taking shapes by the day and resultant end is becoming well pronounced

According to the team, Ganaja under-pass and flyover is in continuation of Gov. Yahaya Bello-led administration’s commitment to ensure provision of good road networks that will curtail chaotic traffic situation in the State and it has been success upon success despite the force of rains.

A lot of progress have been made as the state Government is desirous of completing the project, as such is not leaving anything to chance, reason the supervising ministry is regularly tracking the progress of work with a view to sorting out any identified challenges.”

The hasty and committed nature of the projects are all in line with New direction administration’s commitment towards practically ensuring that the reviewed Kogi State Master plan becomes a reality and workable for the state to have a more modern look and compete favourably with other cities in Nigeria,” he said.

In other hand, the team also take their assessment tour down to Kogi Central Okene to see the level of work. The above represents work update for the Reference Hospital. Roofing including major external works has commenced. The Alucobond work has started appreciably.

The Okene Reference Hospital when completed will boost efforts at providing effective and efficient healthcare delivery and other health infrastructure this administration is providing that will address medical needs of the people of the state and Nigeria by extension, and out of the projects are being carried out by the State Government based on the present administration’s priority to the health needs of the people of the State.

The team expressed satisfaction with the pace of work, commended Governor Yahaya Bello for adequate release of funds for all the ongoing projects across the state.
