Today, Wednesday 7th December, 2022, the Commissioner of Police Kogi State Police Command, CP Akeem A. Yusuf, psc(+), fdc, presented cheques worth N51,066,945 .34 on behalf of Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc (+), NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR to the families of 13 Police Officers who died in active service.
The Commissioner of Police while speaking at the cheque presentation to the next of kin of the deceased officers in Lokoja, described the loss of the deceased personnel as unfortunate and painful. He disclosed that the money was part of the Group Life Assurance scheme for families of late Police officers. He urged the beneficiaries not to misuse the money but make judicious use of it for the betterment of their families.
The beneficiaries, appreciate the kind gesture and promised to make use of the money for the benefits of their families.
