A socio-political group, the Global Alliance Of Progressive Professionals code named GAP-3 has been unveiled in the nation’s capital Abuja with the endorsment of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for President in the All Progressive Congress APC come 2023.
The National Coordinator of the group, Ambassador Ahmed Chikaji in his address said “we are gathered here to make history in the nation’s political space to formerly endorse a man who has distinguished himself in all spares of human endeavors with intimidating political credentials His Excellency Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello the Executive Governor of Kogi State to accept the clarion calls by Nigerians to contest the 2023 Presidential election”.
“It is our collective resolve and determination to making sure our impacts are felt in the nation’s political space of our dear country Nigeria by taking common position on national issues, encouraging young Nigerians to take leadership positions through political participation and support for youth and women in politics without discrimination”.
According to Ambassador Chikaji, “Nigeria as a multi-ethnic country with over two hundred million people, the best prism from which to attempt a fitting society like ours is in the tenacity which we continue to expouse a mix of ethnicity, religion and geo-political zones in consolidating democratic structures and building leadership in diversity which are the hallmarks of the movement”.
The group commended the Executive, Legislative and the Judicial arm of the Nigeria Government including the security agencies for their respective efforts in moving the country forward in the face of enormous challenges facing the country.
Speaking at the event, the Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Smart Adeyemi and Chairman of the Occasion said “Kogi State is the safest of all the states in the northern region, and if you talk about the socio-economic development of any entity, you have to talk about how safe the environment is and what the Governor has done is to make Kogi State a safe environment for foreign investment”.
He explained that “Governor Yahaya Bello is a visionary young man, he has the capacity for leadership, he has courage, he is intelligent and he has demonstrated that in Kogi State where he has been able to Police the state effectively”.
“I think Nigerians requires a leader who will police the nation well in order to accelerate the socio-economic development of the country” he stated.
The Senator called on youths in the country to support the candidature of Yahaya Bello come 2023.
Adeyemi also on behalf of the Governor launched the campaign group and called on the Global Alliance Of Progressive Professionals to effectively mobilize ahead of the 2023 Presidential election.
In an interview with newsmen, the National Publicity Secretary of the group, Hon. Suleiman Siraj said GAP3 is a platform for mass mobilization, sensitization, reorientation and support with membership and structures at all levels including diaspora support base.
He said the group mission is to build an egalitarian society where opportunities are provided to all in the overall development of human society for growth and development.
