GROUP ADVOCATES FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF NIWA MD/CEO FROM LOKOJA/KOGI (KKF) FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY.
With the current leadership vacuum at the National Inland WaterWays Authority (NIWA) created by the resignation of its eartwhile Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji, an advocacy group for good governance known as *Kogi Renaissance Movement* is demanding that an indigene of Lokoja/Kogi Kff federal Constituency be appointed as the next Managing Director/CEO of the establishment which is located in their community.
The group argue that despite the Authority being in their area since inception, no indigene has held the top position in the organisation.
The group agitations highlight the ongoing debates in Nigeria regarding the application of the federal character principle, and the equitable distribution of government positions and resources.
Going further, the group is recommending Hon. Barr. Shaba Ibrahim for the exalted position base on his outstanding leadership traits.
With a distinguished track record of leadership in both the public and private sectors, Hon. Barr. Shaba Ibrahim possesses the vision, experience, and integrity necessary to excel in this critical role.
Barr Shaba has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and an innovative approach to problem-solving through his legal career.
Barr Shaba have a deep understanding of the issues facing the establishment as a former Council chairman, Special Adviser to the former Governor Idris Wada of Kogi state as well as being a former member of the House of Representatives, representing the good people of Lokoja/Kogi KKF federal Constituency of Kogi state.

We are confident that Hon. Barr. Shaba’s appointment will significantly benefit the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu by reshaping the renewed Hope Agenda.
