Gridlock As Kogi PDP Present Flags to Candidates, Urged to Over run APC in 2023


 

The ancient city and capital of Kogi State, came under massive gridlock as the opposition Peoples Democratic Party present flags to its candidates.

 

Speaking at the event which held at Keffas Multi purpose hall, former Gov. Ibrahim Idris charged the candidates to over run the APC in the forthcoming general election.

He described the hunger and abject poverty in the state as unimaginable, urged them to stand up for the people.

Alhaji Idris described the failure of the APC to deliver gains of democracy as yardstick for campaign, apologized to Kogi people for the inflicted poverty caused by the inept leadership of the APC.

He assured that the APC the people see and hear about will no longer be seen and heard off come 2023, insisting that never again should the party be allowed to return at all levels.

The former Governor described the candidates of the party as people who emerged through due primaries, assured that the PDP will win the Presidency to all other positions in 2023.

Earlier in his remarks, Engr. Sam Uhotu, Kogi State PDP Chairman, expressed optimism that the PDP will win clean and clear in 2023 assuring that the party is fielding the best and acceptable candidates.

The PDP Chairman described the APC as having failed the people, described the years of the PDP in governance as heaven on earth as compared to the hunger and abject poverty the APC have inflicted on the people.

Highlights of the program was the presentation of flags and certificates to the candidates.
