Govt. Extols The Potentials, Creativity Of Kogi State Council Of Arts, Culture


 

 

The Kogi state Commissioner.for Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Comrade Salifu Idachaba over the weekend in Lokoja lauded the capacity and the creativity of Kogi State Council for Arts and Culture (KSCAC).

The Commissioner who made the remarks at the Mini Exhibition of Arts and Craft organized by KSCAC, expressed satisfaction for the capacity and creativity embedded in the Department of Fine and Applied Arts of Kogi State Council for Arts and Culture.

He extolled the giant strides and performance displayed by the Performing Arts Department of the council, during state, national and international competitions.

Comrade Idachaba who admitted that the Council remained the engine room of cultural matters, in the state assured that the state government would give priority to arts theatre and a cultural village, where the artistes could fully manifest their talents.

The Commissioner commended the Director, KSCAC, Mrs Wosilat Owuda and her team for putting up the event, promising that the state government would do everything possible to ensure that the council ranks among the best in the country.

He commended the state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his support and encouragement for the cultural sector of the economy.

Comrade Idachaba expressed gratitude to the Director General, Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Alhaji Ayila O Ozovehe for his brotherly love and adequate publicity for the event.

In their separate remarks, the Invited guests pointed out that they were thrilled by the arts exhibition, referring to it as the first of its kind, in the state.
