Kogi State Government has commended The contractors handling Road Construction Projects in the eastern senatorial district of The State for their outstanding performance going by the level of jobs done in the area visited so far.
The Honourable Commissioner Of Works and Housing Engineer Abubakar Ohere gave The commendation during his official inspection visit to the Roads under construction in Ofu Local Government area.
The Commissioner who Affirmed The Capacity of Governor Yahaya Bello for Quality Jobs Expressed Satisfaction with Quality of the construction works by TEC Engineering construction Limited.
He noted that Speed breakers and crash barriers will be introduced where needed along with cautions signs adding that the road would be ready for commissioning by the Governor in the next few weeks.
Stating further, Engr Ohere said Idah/Umomi Anyigba road is a total reconstruction work the State Government is undertaking that if completed it will directly inpact on the people of Ajogidibeje, kanukpoda, Ofakaga, Ejule, Alome, Umomi, Akpagidigbo, Ofokopi, Adikafane, Ugwolawo, Ogbogba, Ajaka, Idah and their surrounding Communities.
Mr Jim Lee The sight Engineer in charge of the constitution said that the contract sum for the project is 5.5 Billion Naira Saying that the state government has been up to date in her payment for the Job expressed confidence that the Road projects would last beyond 30years without loosing it’s quality.
Also speaking The Council Chairman of Ofu Local Government, Hon Amodu Ibrahim Joyfully Thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for the construction of the Road projects which he said that his local government would be direct beneficiary of a larger portion of the road.
Engineer Abubakar Ohere was Earlier Received at The Palace of The Eje of Ofu by The Royal Farther, His Royal Highness Alhaji Akwu Obaje, Agagwuuu and Large Numbers of Youths from the area also trooped out to welcome him.
