Governor Bello commiserates with former Minister Paul Unongo over wife’s death

The Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has expressed deep sadness over the passing of Mrs. Comfort Unongo, wife of former Minister of Mines and steel and an elder statesman, Wantaregh Paul Unongo.

Mrs. Unongo, aged 54, had her last breath at Daisyland Hospital in Jos, Plateau State capital, on Thursday evening.

Governor Bello, however, sent his condolences to the elder statesman, saying it is quite unfortunate that the sad occurrence is happening two years after the demise of mama Victoria Unongo, another lovely wife of his.

He then prayed that God Almighty will comfort Mr Unongo and the great family that the deceased left behind.

“I also join the people and government of Benue State to mourn the demise of Mrs Comfort, who lived for the good of others, supporting her husband in his humanitarian gestures. May God grant a repose of her soul.” the Governor stated.
