GOV. YAHAYA BELLO INSPECTS DOMESTIC EXPORTS WAREHOUSE(DRY PORT) IN FELELE LOKOJA.


HAILS FGN & HARRIS LOGISTICS SERVICES LIMITED FOR HELPING THE STATE TO ACCOMPLISH ITS ECONOMIC POTENTIALS

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State on Monday said the decision of his administration to invest in the security architecture of the state has started yielding positive results as Federal government and private sectors exist in the state to help turning it as an economic hub of the country.

Governor Bello gave the assertion during an on the spot assessment tour to ascertained the level of work carried out on the construction site of the ‘Domestic Exports WareHouse'( dry port) at Felele in Lokoja,the Kogi State capital.

The Governor who was represented by the State Commissioner of Commerce and Industry Mr.Gabruel Yunisa Olofu opined that his administration will not hesitate to create the required congenial working environment to woo- be investors to help to stimulate the economy of the State.

He lauded the Federal government under the leadership of President Mohammad Buhari for making Kogi State one of the Five States approved for the establishment of the multi-million naira gigantic project .

Governor Bello equally commended the HARRIS LOGISTICS SERVICES LIMITED which influenced the Nigeria Exports Promotion Council,NEPC/YEEFP project in the State..

”With the dwelling of revenue from the oil sector of recent times ,diversification of our economic into agriculture and solid mineral development is the way to go”.

In a keynote address at the occasion the Chairman Harris Logistics services, Mr .Femi Muhammed intimated that the establishment of DOMESTIC EXPORTS WAREHOUSE in Lokoja would encourage ease of doing business,jobs creation as well as discongestion of ports when it become operational.

In an address at the event, the Managing Director of the company,Honourable Tajudeen BISIMILLAH applauded President Muhammad Buhari, Minister of trade and investment, Niyi Adebayo and MD of the Exports Promotion council,Mr.Segun Awolowo for introducing this laudable scheme geared towards fast-tracking economic diversification from oil sector.

”I equally acknowledged the transparent manner in which the selection team from exports expansion facility programme EEFP carried out the selection process and fond Harris Logistics suitable among the five companies considered out of three hundred companies which applied.

Honourable Tajudeen Bisimillah ,also hailed Governor Yahaya Bello for providing adequate security to the citizens which has made it save heaven for investors to bring their resources thereby creating employment opportunity to the able bodied youth/Women, boost the economic of the citizens and enhance accelerated growth and development of the State.

The representatives of Nigeria Customs services,Mr. Jangaoi M.E ,Nigeria exports promotion council,Mr.Afolabi Bello,Nigeria Port Authority, Mrs Funke Ilori and the Nigeria agricultural quaratine services, Mr. Edwin ignatus all promised to work towards the success of the project in Kogi State.
