… Calls for quick dispensation of Justice
Comr. Isah Emmanuel Ojodunwene, Senior Special Assistant on Student Affairs to the Kogi State Governor, has condemned in strong terms the killing of Damilola Olowoyo, a 19-year-old 100 level student of the Federal University Lokoja.
The Governor’s aide in a statement issued to Newsmen, condemned the heinous act in its entirety, vowed to ensure a stop to the deadly activities of ritual killing by Yahoo Yahoo boys in Kogi State.
Recalled that the prime suspect in the killing of Damilola Olowoyo, a 19-year-old 100 level student at the Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State, Jeremiah Paul, confessed that he lured the deceased to the bush and killed her for money ritual.
Aged 20, Jeremiah hails from Chikun Local Government of Kaduna State.
The SSA in a swift reaction notes with emphasis that the present administration of Gov. Usman Ododo in the State has zero tolerance for all forms of antisocial vices, assuring that this form of activities and their pepetrators would no longer be condoned in the State.
The SSA called on the appropriate agencies handling the matter leading to the killing of the student to ensure that justice is served and as when due for the victim and her family.
He commended the Nigerian police for a Job well done in arresting the culprits, described the activities of some young people who are in a hurry to make money as regrettable.
The SSA equally advised parents to regularly check on the activities of their children who are in the higher institution, said the need to constantly put an eye on them has become very necessary.
