… Lecture To Hold August 19, 2025 @ Kogi NUT House Conference Hall, Opposite Radio Kogi.

Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, Kogi State Executive Governor and his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello have indicated their participation at this year’s the Nigerian Post Newspaper annual public Lecture & Gold Prize Award

The event is to mark the 34 year anniversary of the State creation is scheduled to hold on 19th August, 2025.

The theme for this year’s public lecture is: “Transparency, Accountability, Inclusivity, Economic transformation: This House Must Not Fall”.

This years event is scheduled to take place at the EdgeDrive Hotel Lokoja on August 19, 2025 at 10:00am.

The Kogi State Governor, Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo is expected as the Special Guest of Honour.

His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, former Governor of Kogi State, the Minister for Steel Development, Prince Shaibu Audu Abubakar alongside other very important personalities within and outside Kogi State will also serve as Guests of Honour at the event.

The 2025 public lecture will be delivered by Prof. Stephen Ikani Ocheni, former Minister of State, Labour and Employment.

His Royal Majesty, the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu would serve as the Royal father of the day.

Speakers at the event will include; Prof. Marietu Tenuche, Vice Chancellor, Prince Abubakar University, Anyigba and Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi, VC Federal University Lokoja.

The 2025 The Nigerian Post Newspaper Lecture is to be chaired by Prof. Salisu Usman Ogbo, Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja with Asiwaju Olatunji Olusoji as Co Chairman.

The 2025 edition of the public lecture, “aims to celebrate and critically examine the creation of Kogi State 34 years after, discussing Transparency, Accountability, Inclusivity, Economic transformation in a Democratic experiment: This House Must Not Fall”.

According to a statement by the Publisher of THE NIGERIAN POST, Mr. Abu Michael, this year’s event will honour some distinguished personalities who have contributed to the development of the State.
