
Gov. Ododo to attend Nigerian Post Kogi @ 34 Annual Public Lecture as Special Guest of Honour.

Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, is to serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the 2025 The Nigerian Post Newspaper Kogi @ 34 Lecture & Awards In Lokoja, holding August 19, 2025.
The Nigerian Post Newspaper public Lecture & Gold Prize Award is to mark the 34 years anniversary of the State creation.
The theme for this year’s public lecture is: “Transparency, Accountability, Inclusivity, Economic transformation”, Kogi State in Focus, This House Must Not Fall”.
This years event is scheduled to take place at the NUT Guest House Conference Hall, Lokoja opposite Radio Kogi at 10:00am.
The Kogi State Governor, Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo is expected to serve as the Special Guest of Honour.
Their Excellencies, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, Alhaji Yahaya Bello former Governors of Kogi State, the Minister for Steel Development, Prince Shaibu Audu Abubakar alongside other very important personalities within and outside Kogi State will also serve as Guests of Honour at the event.
The 2025 public lecture will be delivered by Prof. Stephen Ikani Ocheni, former Minister of State, Labour and Employment.
The 2025 Lecture is to be chaired by Asiwaju Olatunji Olusoji as Chairman with Prof. Salisu Usman Ogbo, Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja as Co- Chairman.
His Royal Majesty, the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu would serve as the Royal father of the day.
Other speakers at the event will include; Prof. Marietu Tenuche, Vice Chancellor, Prince Abubakar University, Anyigba and Prof. Akinwumi Olayemi, Vice Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja.
The 2025 edition of the public lecture, “aims to critically examine the creation of Kogi State 34 years of existence, discussing Accountability, Transparency, Inclusivity and Economic Transformation”.
According to a statement by the Editor in Chief, Abu Michael, this year’s event will also honour some distinguished personalities who have contributed to the development of the State.
