Gov. Ododo remains dedicated to improving education -Wemi Jones
The commitment of Kogi State Governor, Alhaja Usman Ododo to quality education in the state was reiterated by the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones FCIB, during the 9th convocation ceremony of the Federal University Lokoja. Representing Governor Ododo at the ceremony, the Commissioner highlighted the state government’s dedication to taking education to the next level.
In his address to the graduating students, the Commissioner congratulated them and urged them to strive for greatness in life. He also commended the Vice Chancellor and management team of the university for their efforts in producing graduates who excel in both character and learning.
Furthermore, the Commissioner emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting the university, citing recent legislative efforts to improve road safety around the campus. The state government has enacted laws to restrict certain vehicles from the university highway, as well as initiated construction of alternative routes to ensure the safety of students and other road users.
By demonstrating a proactive approach to education, Governor Ododo and his administration are setting a strong foundation for the future of Kogi State.
