Gov. Ododo cares for traditional rulers, bids Etsu Bassa-Nge Allah’s stead

The Welfare of the traditional rulers in Kogi State has remained to be one of the top priority of His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration.
As a grassroot politician who was born and bred in the rural community of Upogoro in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State, the governor understood early in life the position of traditional rulers and their place in community development.
Since assumption of office on January 27, 2024, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has ensured that traditional rulers are given their rightful place, accorded promotion while the monthly welfare packages due to them are never denied.
The governor has ensured that where vacancies existed especially in cases of death, new traditional rulers are installed in line with the tradition of the people and Kogi State traditional laws. The exercises has always been carried out throughout the three Senatorial districts of the state without rancour. This indeed is a great plus to the Advanced New Direction Administration of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
It is worth to note here that the posture of Governor Ododo in carrying the traditional rulers along in his administration has continued to contribute to the peace that is existing in the state. The governor today is popularly known as a man of peace and hence his administration has continued to place the peace of the state on the top burner.
When the Etsu Bassa-Nge, His Royal Highness, Brig. Gen. Abu Ali Mopa III joined his ancestors on Monday, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo never hesitated in registering his heart felt sympathy to the family of the late Etsu Bassa-Nge, His Royal Highness Brig Gen Abu Ali Mopa III Rtd, Bassa Nge kingdom, the entire people of Bassa land and Kogi State at large. His immediate response to the demise of the Etsu Bassa-Nge was a big demonstration of his large heart to the traditional institutions in the state.
Whats more? When the Etsu Bassa-Nge was being buried on Tuesday at Gboloko in Bassa Local Government Area, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo sent a high powered delegation led by the Special Adviser on Security, Commodore Timothy Omodora (Rtd) to witness the interment of the revered traditional ruler. Other top government function Aries at the burial included the Commissioner of Commerce and industry, Alhaji Muktar Shaibu, Bassa Council Chairman, Hon Theophilus Adama, Special Adviser on information, Hon Jacob Edi who doubles as a traditional title holder in Bassa Nge kingdom and host of government appointees in the state.
The entire Gboloko was flooded with government diginatories, well wishers and people from all walks of life. It was indeed a testament to the peace the governor has continued to promote in the state that made the burial of the royal father at Gboloko a huge success.
His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is a peace lover. He has kept demonstrating his love for peace by carrying the traditional institutions in the state along in his administration and by strengthening the security architecture in the state. He is indeed a lover of Peace.
As the 2027 general elections draw closer, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo deserve a second term in office. Lets all join hands with this great leader of peace and return him for a second term in office come 2027
