The zeal and commitment to transform the people in rural areas by Governor Yahaya Bello of kogi state has been described as a tonic for the ranking of Kogi state Community and Social Development Agency as number one in the Country.
The General Manager , KSCSDA, Momoh Dauda gave the hint at a birthday reception held in his honour by the staff of the Agency on Monday in his office in Lokoja.
Dauda who commended Governor Bello for giving him opportunity to serve and created enabling environment for the success story of the Agency in the few years of his Administration.
He gave Kudos to the Governor for the approval for the payment of outstanding salary arrears, even as he gracious approved the agency’s budget without tinkering .
He explained that, the Agency which is majorly funded by the World Bank , Federal and state governments, required prompt payment of counterparts fund by the states.
He however, noted that governor Bello has been committed to the prompt payment of the Counterpart fund which he said, gave impetus to Management and staff to put in their best that has earned the Agency a prime place in the country.
According to the General Manager, the agency has made pragmatic contribution to the upliftment of the wellbeing of the vulnerable and transformation of the rural communities, and called for more support to improve on the ranking.
He called on the Management and staff to continue to support the present Government which is committed to the eradication of poverty through the provision of critical basic infrastructures to the citizenry.
While thanking them for the honour done to him, urge them to redouble their effort at making the agency to retain its present position among its peers in the country.
Speaking on behalf of the managers of the Agency, the Director of Administration and Finance, Mark Abuh commended him for his open door and all inclusive Management style , stressing that he is noted for taking informal steps for formal decisions, which has made the Agency tick.
He called on staff to continue to give their best for the promotion of their mandate.
Other speakers equally elicited the management acumen of the Managing Director and pray God to grant him good health , prosperity and longevity.
