Gov. Yahaya Bello is expected to get a rousing welcome into the state capital saturday barring unforeseen circumstances.
The Kogi State Governor would be making his first appearance after a courageous outing at the APC Presidential Primaries. Recall that the Governor has been severally scheduled to arrive the state but that was not achieved.
Gov. Yahaya Bello’s entrance into the 2023 APC Presidential race opened up a lot of new development in the history of the nation’s Presidential race.
His aspiration not only brought in funfair, new style campaigns, he had control of mostly youths, women and people with disabilities who were passionate about his aspiration.
At the end of the APC Presidential Primaries, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, who doubles as the National Leader of the party, got 1,299 votes, his major opponents, Amaechi and Osinbajo secured 316 and 235 votes respectively.
The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan got 152 votes while the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, scored 47 votes.
The Kogi State Governor would according to a source would make a triumphant entry into the city capital, pointing out that from the Jamata bridge, party enthusiast, supporters and faithful will welcome him to a reception that would hold at the Glass House, Government House Lokoja.
