The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello according to a source has asked some of his Commissioners, some top government appointees and the Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja to pick up the All Progressives Congress Governorship nomination form.
Recalled that the APC has begun the sale of forms in preparation for the off season Kogi State Governorship election. The cost of the Governorship nomination form is out at N50m. Recalled that the PDP sold it Governorship nomination form for N27m. Ten individuals picked the PDP Nomination forms.
The APC Governorship primaries is slated for between April and May, 2023 while the election proper comes up in November.
A source who attended today’s State Executive Council Meeting disclosed that the Governor asked Hon. Wemi Jones, Education Science and Technology Commissioner and nine other cabinet members to pick the nomination forms.
Others he mentioned to go buy the APC Governorship nomination form include Asiwaju Asiru Idris, Finance Commissioner, Pharm Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku, Chief of Staff, Hon. Salami Ozigi Deedat, Commissioner For Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ododo, Auditor General, For Local Government, Ahmed Usman Ododo Mall. Jibrin Momoh, Accountant General, Engr Abubakar Gegu, Solid Minerals and Natural Resources Commissioner.
Those asked to also buy the form include; the State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja, Alhaji Yusuf Yakubu Okala, State Auditor General, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo and, Hajia Fatima Buba Kabiru, Women Affairs Commissioner.
