The Kogi State Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja has described Gov. Yahaya Bello as a practical use of optimal and limited resources in providing Infrastructure and development to the people amidst scarce resources.
Chief Edward Onoja stated this shortly after inspecting work on the ongoing GYB Science Model Secondary School in Adankolo, the Ganaja Flyover Bridge, Specialist Hospital Lokoja, described Gov. Bello as a Governor that takes action but does not make noise.
The Deputy Governor described the action in the State to fix decayed Infrastructure as one that speaks louder than noise, commended the Governor for his prudence over time in the management of scarce resources.
Chief Onoja described prudent use of resources as what has stood the governor out, hinged the efforts to improve infrastructure amidst scarce resources to the Governor’s experience as a chartered accountant, an accomplished entrepreneur and an experienced civil servant for a Governor, stressed that Gov. Bello is a three in one package.
While disclosing that the people are proud of Gov. Bello for doing what he promised, said the governor has remained focus inspite the needless distraction.
The Deputy Governor said the Civic Centre when completed would serve as a tourist centre, insisting that after the ongoing infrastructure development that is ongoing across the state, Lokoja would witness an influx of new residents and tourists, reason why the Civic Centre remains very necessary.
He further explained that the civic centre aside providing a place for liesure, entertainment, for economic activities and for all year function, is equally going to help in revenue generation, described Gov. Bello’s vision as good thinking, good product.
The Deputy Governor described insecurity as the greatest challenge facing the country, but expressed optimism that if elected as President in 2023, the governor will fix insecurity and make the country safe just as the state has been adjudged as the most safest in the country.
On the lingering issues surrounding the N20b alledged to have been fixed or hidden in an account, Chief Onoja urged that rather than dessipate energy chasing shadows, people should chase substance.
The Deputy Governor opined that the diffence between falsehood and truth is time, said while lies travels faster, he expressed optimism that soon the truth about the matter would overtake the lies, maintaining that it is all Politics, assuring that Gov. Bello would remain focus, and insisting that if for any reason, it is the people that Gov. Bello owes explanation by working tirelessly.
