GOOD NEWS: KGIRS rakes in over N6.2B IGR in the first quarter of 2024, investigation reveals.

It is another outstanding IGR performance by the record breaking Kogi State Internal Revenue Service,KGIRS as it generated no fewer than N6.2B as IGR in the first quarter of this year.
Investigation carried out by this Independent Journalist revealed this yesterday.
The Executive Chairman of the service,Alhaji Sule Salihu Enehe, disclosed that the service is fully committed to meeting the ambitious N30.4B IGR target as projected in 2024 budget for the service.
Recall that the service generated over,N23.B IGR in 2023, while it posted about N18.N in 2022.
It is noteworthy that since the immediate Executive Governor of Kogi State,Alhaji Yahaya Bello took over office in 2016, the service has been repositioned to pave way for outstanding IGR performance in line with the visionary and purposeful leadership of the former governor.
Recall that previous administrations were generating paltry and miserable IGR performance in the neighborhood of N300m averagely per month.
The present administration of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman has consolidated on the signature IGR monthly performance he inherited from his predecessor.
The present KGIRS boss,Alhaji Sule Salihu Enehe, is an astute tax administrator, who is a performer par excellence.
He is a Chartered Accountant turned Tax administrator, imbued with a rich academic profile and professional pedigree that stands him in good stead.
His record of performance since he assumed office have been very outstanding.
He has repositioned the service for effective tax performance and tax payers compliance.
