God’s mercy saved me – Hon. Kolawole recount kidnapping saga during Thanksgiving service


 

The Redeemed Christian Church of God Zion Parish, headquarters Church of Kogi Province 3, was today in frenzy, erupted in joy as members dance and sang to the Glory of God during a Thanksgiving service by the Chairman of Yagba West LGA of Kogi State, Hon. Pius Kolawole.

 

Recalled that Mr Kolawole was abducted while travelling from Ilorin, Kwara State Capital to Kogi in company of a Commissioner of the Kogi Pension board, Solomon Adebayo. Mr Adebayo was however killed by the gunmen in the incident.

 

Speaking during the thanksgiving service, Hon. Kolawole said he was saved by the mercies of God, but lamented the death of his close childhood friend and associate, prayed God to continue to repose his soul.

 

The Council Chairman expressed gratitude to God for sparing his life, said it was God who saved him, urged the church to continue to pray to God to continue to grant the family left behind by Late Solomon, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He thanked the Church, friends, Associates and People of Goodwill for their prayers and show of love during his incaceration, promising to rededicate himself to the service of God and humanity.

In a charge during the thanksgiving service, the Pastor In-charge of RCCG Kogi PROVINCE 3, Pastor Samuel Adeyemi, urged Nigerian’s to imbibe the lessons of serving God.

He described Hon. Kolawole as a man who visited the grave but the Grace of brought him back to life, urged him to remain in constant service to God and humanity.
