FUL Presents N1m Cheque Each to 2 Best Graduating Students

The Federal University Lokoja has handed over Cheque of One Million Naira each to the two best graduating Students that emerged at the 6th and 7th convocation.

 

The two students are Zafirah Eneyamire Isah, best graduating student 2020/2021, Economics Department and Mariam Oiza Ibrahim 2021/2022 set of the Department of Chemistry.

 

The amount presented to the best Students was pledge made by Rt. Hon. Dr James Faleke during the just concluded 6th and 7th convocation.

Presenting the Cheques officially to the best Students, the Vice Chancellor, Federal University Lokoja, Prof. Akinwunmi Olayemi, thanked Hon. Faleke for fulfilling his promise, pointing out that the reward would serve as challenge to other students to work hard.

 

The Vice Chancellor urged the male students of the institution to sit tight, work hard, lauded the two beneficiaries who are females, to strive for further academic laurels.

While pointing out to the beneficiaries that the money should not be used for frivolities, urged them to use the money in pursuing their Post Graduate degrees.

Aside offering admission to best graduating Students, Prof. Olayemi said it is also the policy of University to offer employment for best Post Graduate Students of the University, assured them of opportunities in the institution when the need arises and if they emerge with flying colours.

The Federal University Lokoja, Prof. Olayemi explained will in future consider products of the institution for employment into the University system, pleaded with Hon. James Faleke to make the reward an annual event, said it will make learning competitive.

In their separate remarks, the beneficiaries, Zafirah Eneyamire Isah, best graduating student 2020/2021 and Mariam Oiza Ibrahim, best graduating student 2021/2022 expressed appreciation to Hon. Faleke for the kind gesture.

In her remarks, Zafirah Eneyamire Isah who was overwhelmed with joy, prayed for God to reward the donor, promised judicious utilization of the funds”.

In her response, Mariam Oiza Ibrahim, could not hide her joy, said the money would enable her further her studies, thanked the donor for the support.
