Former LP Aspirant Throws Weight Behind PDP Candidate , Ighodalo

Former Governorship Aspirant of the Labour Party, LP, Amb. Princess Asha Okojie-Odigie who has since resigned from the party has formerly endorsed Dr. Asue Ighodalo for the Edo 2024 September 21 election.
This was contained in a press release personally signed and made available to journalist in Benin City.
According her, “Today, I stand before you with immense pride as a devoted citizen of Edo State, deeply invested in our shared future. It is with great conviction and enthusiasm that I officially endorse Dr. Asue Ighodalo for the governorship election of our state”.
She described Dr. Ighodalo as a leader of exceptional competence with vision, and empathy. “His proven track record in addressing critical issues such as hunger, poverty, and illiteracy aligns perfectly with the pressing needs of Edo State. We have endured a period of leadership that has been more transactional than transformative, contributing to the socio economic challenges we face today. It is time for a change—one that brings effective, visionary leadership from day one. The people of Edo State are more aware and informed; we need a leader who listens attentively, addresses issues proactively, and takes decisive action. This is why I am wholeheartedly supporting Dr. Ighodalo”.
Amb. Princess Asha said Dr. Ighodalo’s remarkable achievements, including his pivotal role as Chairman of the Alaghodaro Summit, highlight his ability to drive substantial progress and development, adding that his accomplishments in the business sector, coupled with his unwavering commitment to public service, are both inspiring and reflective of his dedication to fairness and justice.
“Dr. Ighodalo’s values resonate deeply with the legacy of my late cousin, Chief Anthony Enahoro, who fought valiantly for Nigeria’s independence, and my father, the late Hon. Prince Albert Okojie, who was instrumental in the creation of Bendel State for the betterment and sovereignty of our people. Dr. Ighodalo embodies the same spirit of dedication, selflessness, and leadership. His extensive record of service and philanthropy underscores his profound commitment to the people of Edo State”.
She further said that Dr. Ighodalo serves as a role model for our youth and a true champion of democracy. She said his leadership transcends political, tribal, and religious boundaries, uniting us for the common good while his journey is a powerful testament to the enduring values of hard work, integrity, and education.
