FORMER LAWMAKER, DR TOM ZAKARI SENDS CONDOLENCE MESSAGE ON THE PASSING OF GENERAL ABU ALI (RTD.), ETSU BASSA NGE

Former Member, House of Representatives (Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency, 7th National Assembly), Hon. Tom Zakari, Ph.D has described the death of ETSU Bassa-Nge as a huge loss.
The former lawmaker in his condolence message on Monday, said as follows:
With a deep sense of loss and heartfelt sorrow, I, Hon. Tom Zakari, Ph.D., former Member, House of Representatives (Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency, 7th National Assembly), join the Bassa Nge people and the entire Bassa community in mourning the passing of our revered leader, General Abu Ali (Rtd.), Etsu Bassa Nge, who passed on this morning.
General Abu Ali (Rtd.) was not only a respected national figure and a distinguished royal father, but he was a father to me in every sense of the word. Our relationship was built on trust, guidance, and genuine affection. His constant fatherly advice, words of wisdom, and encouragement were pillars that strengthened me throughout my public service journey and personal life. Truly, his counsel kept me going through many challenging moments.
As the Etsu Bassa Nge, he embodied wisdom, integrity, discipline, and selfless leadership. His contributions to peace, unity, and development both nationally and within the Bassa Nge Kingdom remain indelible and will continue to shape generations to come.
At this difficult moment, I commiserate deeply with his immediate family, the Bassa Nge Kingdom, the entire people of Bassa Local Government, Kogi State, and indeed the Nigerian nation. May God grant his family the strength to bear this great loss, and may his exemplary legacy continue to inspire all who knew him.
I pray that the Almighty God, in His infinite mercy, grant his noble soul eternal rest and grant us all the fortitude to endure this moment of grief.
Rest in peace, our retired gallant General, Royal Father, and a true father to me.
