FORMER CHIEF OF STAFF, PHARM. ASUKU LEADS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO GOV. ODODO.

The Former Chief of Staff to the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Pharm. Abdulkareem Mohd Jamiu, has led his entourage to the Abuja residence of Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo to commiserate with him over the death of his father, Alhaji Momoh Sanni Ododo.

Speaking during the visit, Pharm. Jamiu described the late patriarch as “a man who lived a worthy and fulfilled life”, adding that his passing was “a reminder that every human carries the certainty of death on their neck.” He noted that though the family would have wished he lived longer, “what matters most is that he left behind a good name, a solid legacy, and children who are carrying forward his values.”

Governor Ododo, while responding, described his late father as “more than a father to us he was a grandfather to the state.” He recalled that his father constantly preached unity, love, and peace, stressing that “as leaders, we must honor his memory by living those values. The project of leading our state is collective, and if we keep peace among ourselves, God will bless us.”
Also speaking, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Hon. Abdullahi Bello, commended Pharm. Jamiu for his loyalty and humility, noting that his continued bond with his followers even after leaving office reflects his “trustworthiness and dependability.”
He said: “We are proud of you because you have shown that politics is not just about holding office, but about building people and keeping relationships. That is the kind of spirit we need in our party and in our state.”
The visit ended with prayers for the repose of the soul of the late patriarch and for strength upon the Governor and his family.
