
Fidau Prayer Held for Late Hajia Amina Lami, Chief Imam Urges Faithful to Emulate Her Virtues

The 8th Day Fidau prayers for Late Hajia Amina Lami was held in Lokoja, Kogi State, with a massive turnout of family, friends, and sympathizers.

The Chief Imam of Lokoja, Alhaji Shaban Aminu, led the prayers and urged attendees to live lives of sacrifice and dedication to Allah.

The Chief Imam described the deceased as a woman of virtue, humility, and generosity, who lived a life of service to humanity and devotion to her faith.

The ceremony was attended by politicians, government officials, and Islamic clerics, reflecting the wide reach and impact of the deceased during her lifetime.

The Chief Imam reminded attendees of the inevitability of death and urged the faithful to live righteous lives according to Islamic teachings. He also encouraged the family to remain steadfast in faith and take solace in the will of Allah.
Speaking on behalf of the family, the brother, Engr. Yahaya MD Farouk offered prayers for the late Late Hajia Amina Lami and expressed appreciation to all those who came to grace the occasion and support the family during their time of grief.
Also speaking, a family friend, Engr. Muhammed Dangana, GM Special Duties National Inland Waterways, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kankarfi, prayed for the repose of the deceased and asked God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
The late Hajia Amina Lami passed away on March 20, 2026, leaving behind children, grandchildren, sisters, and brothers, including Commissioner for Water Resources Engr. Yahaya MD Farouk.
