FCMB Rural Banking, innovation for employment generation – Kehinde Theophilus Ogunyomi


 

The First City Monument Bank Rural Banking that has begun in Kogi State has been described as an innovation that would provide employment for young people.

 

Kehinde Theophilus Ogunyomi, Central Executive North Central Chairman, Youth Assembly of Kogi State, made the disclosure at the sidelines of the official flag off and handing over of the PoS Machine to twenty eight agents in Lokoja.

Kehinde lauded the steps to take banking by FCMB to the rural areas, expressed optimism that Youth would be gainfully employed.

He described the innovation as a gateway to engage with the farmers to improve on their economy through savings and other banking transactions, commended Philips Consult for a worthy partnership and innovation that would stop the Youths from roaming about the streets.

He called on the State Government, other organizations, well to do individuals to explore means of using the FCMB Rural Banking innovation to gainfully engaged the terming unemployed youths living in the rural areas in particular.
