Shamelessness is indeed, not only a disease but a psychotic disorder. This is the case of the incorrigible set of people that made up the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yagba Federal Constituency for daring to drag Elder Leke Abejide, the ‘saviour’ of Yagba people into the mud they only belong to.
Elder Leke Abejide is tagged the ‘saviour’ of Yagba people because the representative of the people in the APC led government in Kogi State has abandoned the constituency and constituents for hell, and he has filled the gap left by them.
The administration of Kogi State Government under His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello from 2016 till date has been fairly nice to Yagba Federal Constituency in terms of appointment by appointing Yagba persons in the various strategic portfolios below:
1. Secretary to the State Government
2. Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning
3. Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development
4. Chief Press Secretary to the Governor
5. Special Adviser to the Governor on Youths Empowerment, Sports and Students Affairs
6. Director General on Media and Publicity to the Governor
7. Special Adviser to the Governor and Finance and Economic Planning
8. Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Strategy
9. Commissioner for Information and Communications
10. Senior Special Assistants in other important portfolios across the constituency
11. Investment Policy and Communication Strategist to the State Government
12. Other Chairmen/persons and members (permanent and part-time) of various Government Board and Agencies.
13. Former Speaker of the House of Assembly and Acting Governor
14. Others
The performance of Leke Abejide in four years has swallowed the impact of these so called government officials and Yagba APC Stakeholders in the constituency.
Placed side by side, the presence of Leke Abejide in Yagba Federal Constituency is evident than that of Yagba APC and her stakeholders altogether.
The impact of Abejide in terms of physical projects and interventions; educational, health, business, skills empowerment; widows, farmers and other philanthropic gestures and support are enough accountability, which is an incurable headache for Yagba APC.
The Yagba APC is engulfed in absurdity so that they failed to sell their House of Representatives Candidate, Engr. Folorunsho Olafemi, who is also a beneficiary of the spoils of some political leaders in Yagba APC to the people.
APC Yagba Federal Constituency has failed the people and cannot drag Leke Abejide into their shameful status.
The people of Yagba Federal Constituency knows the truth as the APC continue to mock themselves. Their propaganda is giving more assurance to Leke Abejide’s reelection. They should go to the grassroots and ask Yagba people of the Leke Abejide’s accountability that they are blind to.
