The peaceful conduct of the Osun State Governorship Election held today has been Commended by Comr. Idris Miliki, Executive Director, Conscience For Human Right and Conflict Resolution.
Comr. Miliki in a Statement copied Thenigerianpost, Commended the people of the State for their orderly conduct, however said the Independent National Electoral Commission still needs to do more in Improving the process of election.
He also said urged for more improvement in the activities of security agencies, pointing out that lots needs to be done on voter and Civic Education.
The Activists called on the political parties to continue to do more pointing in awareness campaign pointing out that as the primary beneficiary, they need to do more on voter and Civic Education.
Comr. Miliki equally advised development partners to continue to support civil society organisations through timely giving of funding to Partners to enable more awareness campaign on civic and voter education, however maintained that by and large the Osun Governorship Election was a successful election.
Comr. Miliki congratulated all the Osun stakeholders for the peaceful conduct of the State election even as Nigerians await the final declaration of results by INEC.
He urge the people of Osun State to sustain the peace that existed before and during the election.
