ESAN DESCENDANTS ASSEMBLY  (EDA) LAUDS ESAN OKPA INITIATIVE (EOI)

The Esan Descendants Assembly (EDA), has lauded the Esan Okpa Initiative (EOI) for its declaration and determination to support the economic and political development of Esanland.

Addressing newsmen in Benin over the weekend, the chairman of the EDA Executive Council, Professor Oyaziwo Aluede, praised the RT. Hon. Mathew Egbadon led EOI for coming out to lend its support for development in Esanland.

In his words, Professor Aluede declared: ” I was excited seeing distinguished Esan people led by our former speaker, Rt. Hon. Mathew Egbadon, coming out to voice out their support for the economic and political development of Esanland. At this point in time, we the Esan people, need to come together in unison so as to rescue our land from economic and Political deprivation.

Our BOT chairman, AVM Anthony Okpere, Rtd  has  emphasized on the need for all Esan groups to collaborate together for the common good of Esanland and we in the EDA are ready to tow this line”

It would be recalled that The Esan Okpa Initiative, led by Rt. Hon. Mathew Egbadon, recently visited the executive governor of Edo State, H.E Godwin Obaseki where it demanded for a fair share for Edo Central Senatorial District in the economic and political development in Edo State.

The Esan Descendants Assembly is a Frontline Esan sociocultural group advocating for a united Esanland. The group is currently planning for an Esan Mega Summit towards the end of the year.
