Ably led by the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, the home coming of the Kogi East All Progressives Congress (APC), Senatorial candidate, Chief Joseph Erico to Igala land was overwhelming.
Indeed It was a gallant home coming when the mammoth crowd of the All Progressives Congress (APC) faithfuls from Kogi East besieged the Itobe bridge as the take off point to unveil the overwhelming presence of APC in the entire Kogi East even as the long convoy proceeded to commence Chief Erico’s home coming in the ancient city of Idah and other Igala towns on Saturday the 12th of September, 2026.
The Kogi State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon. Comfort Ojoma Uwochiola, Bassa/Dekina House of Representatives member, Hon Paul Gowon Haruna, other top Chieftains of APC from Kogi East, nine Local Government Council Chairmen and their deputies,Political big wigs and supporters of APC in the nine Local Government Areas of Kogi East put up an indomitable presence in Chief Erico’s home coming in Igala land.
In Idah Chief Erico’s entourage first paid homage to His Royal Majesty, the Atta Igala, Mathew Alhaji Opaluwa. While at Atta’s Palace, the Deputy Governor, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo, Kogi Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon Comfort Ojoma Uwochiola, Bassa/Dekina House of Representatives member, Hon Paul Gowon Haruna aka IJN and other top APC Chieftains paid glowing tributes to the peaceful continued reign of the Atta Igala. They assured the Atta Igala that the APC administration in the state ably led by the Chief Servant of the state, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s has continued to respect the traditional institution in the state. The Atta was assured of the APC resolve in the entire Kogi East and Kogi State at large to work for the second term in office of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, election of Chief Joseph Erico as the Senator to represent Kogi East at the National Assembly and the return of His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term in office come 2027.
The entourage also harped on the need for the sustainance of the continued peace and unity that has existed in Kogi East in order to attract more dividends of democracy from the humane administration of His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Chief Erico’s entourage also make a stop over at Ejule, the country home of Kogi State Deputy Governor, His Excellency Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo where they were received in the area by APC faithfuls, supporters and well wishers. The Deputy Governor, Elder Joel Salifu Oyibo and the Kogi East APC Senatorial candidate, Chief Joseph Erico thanked the mammoth crowd in the area which besieged the town to support the home coming of Chief Erico. The Deputy Governor noted that with the APC administration in place in the state, Kogi East will continue to witness more dividends of democracy and urged the crowd to keep supporting the APC administration ably led by the Chief Servant of Kogi State Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The entourage which also pass through the ancient town of Ankpa witnessed an overwhelming crowd displaying APC placards calling for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, election of Chief Joseph Erico as National Assembly member for Kogi East and the re-election of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term in office come 2027.
The entourage later moved to Etutukpe, the home country of the APC Kogi East Senatorial candidate, Chief Joseph Erico, the people of the ancient town lined up in numbers to welcome home and offer their overwhelming support for one of their own, Chief Joseph Erico, his candidature and assured him of victory in the January 2027 National Assembly election.
In all the home coming of the Kogi East APC Senatorial candidate, Chief Joseph Erico to Igala land shook the entire Kogi East. One thing that is sure is that the dynamic administration of the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has continued to touch the lives of Kogi people. The manner the people of Kogi East trooped out in their numbers to support the candidature of the APC Kogi East Senatorial candidate, Chief Joseph Erico is a clear proof that APC is heading for an overwhelming victory in the state in the 2027 general elections.
