I have watched and read the myriad exchanges arising from the just concluded screening and appeal exercises of the senatorial candidates of the PDP in Kogi state, with particular reference to the eastern flank.
I must hurry to say that, It is cowardice to celebrate anyone’s misfortune and even worse to be involved in bringing it about. Even more irritating is the narcissistic mannerisms of the uncouched arguments on both sides of the aisle.
For the avoidance of doubt, QS Aminu is a friend, a brother and one of the best hands from eastern kogi. Whatever has happened, whatever is happening and whatever will happen will not (in fact, cannot) remove from his prime pedigree which was achieved outside the sphere of politics.
Anyone peacocking around under any illusion does not know life and and it’s vicissitudes. I should add that anyone who can pick a form is a factor that must not be disparaged or under rated.
If you use a margin of 5 years, QS Aminu and I fall in thesame bracket and it can be logically concluded that we have a future together, with people of like minds/purpose. Anyone deliberately or inadvertently trying to create a storm in a teacup will at best get a flash in a pan.
History is replete with stories that should either checkmate or restrain some of the exchanges I am seeing: don’t make an enemy of anyone for my sake because QS Aminu Suleiman Abubakar is my brother and friend and that is not about to change. Besides, I need not remind anyone that the most important phase in forthcoming election/s is still at sea.
Finally, to the hirelings and fair-weather friends and momentary acolytes, focus on humanity, common interest and shared purpose and desist from your newfound ‘conflictpreneurship’ disposition.
