The Minister of State Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, has approved the membership of his media team. Those appointed are Mr. Richard Elesho as Special Assistant, SA, and Raphael Oni, also as Special Assistant, SA.*
Both men are coming in with decades of experience in journalism, public affairs, and media management.
Elesho, a product of the Delta State University, Abraka, is educated upto Masters level. He had previously served as Chief Press Secretary/ Director General Media Affairs to two former governors of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, and Capt. Idris Wada. Until his new appointment, he was the North Central Bureau Chief of The News/ PM News, a frontline media group.
Oni holds a Masters degree in international relations and diplomacy. He is equipped with one and a half decades of experience in diplomatic
coverage, government communication, and media liaison.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, in a statement, said the appointments are with immediate effect, adding that the new officials are expected to bring to bear their skills in shaping the narratives around the Ministry and delivering renewed hope agenda of the Federal Government.
