Our attention has been drawn to an online publication claiming that a particular senator from Kogi State is scheming to have our candidate, Engr. Folorunsho Olafemi cleared to contest by the screening committee. It is therefore important at this time to put the records in proper perspective.
Firstly, Engr. Folorunsho Olafemi have great respect for the leadership of the party at all levels, especially the leadership under our governor, His excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and will not be involved in any attempt to undermine his leadership.
Secondly, Folorunsho Olafemi is qualified to contest and in fact bear the flag of our great party the APC in the forthcoming election on the strength of his popularity and credentials and do not require any form of lobbying and/or unholy scheming to get cleared from the screening exercise.
We are confident of victory in the forthcoming primary election on the strength of the unwavering support of party leaders and delegates.
It is also important to state here that we are staunch believers in due process and expects same both at the screening exercise and at the primary election.
We therefore call on those behind such nefarious and vicious publications to cease and desist from name calling and character assassination, and rather focus on the business of convincing party delegates as we are busy doing the same.
