Engr. Bashiru Gegu Mourns Demise of Former Chief Of Army Staff, Major General Chris Alli at 79


 

The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Bashiru Gegu has described the passing away of Gen. Alli’s as painful, a big blow to entire Egbira people.

 


The Commissioner in a statement issued to Newsmen in Lokoja, described the Late COAS as an officer who served diligently in various capacities while in the Nigerian Army.

The Commissioner expresses deep sadness that he acknowledge the passing of the top military officer and former Chief of Army Staff, General Muhammed Christ Alli with a nostalgic feelings, said the death is coming at a time his wise counsel would have been most needed to strengthen the security solutions in the country.

Engr Bashiru described the commitment, bravery, and dedication to duty by the former CoAS to his country as one that will always be remembered.

The Commissioner described the loss of such the respected leader as a great blow to the nation expressed his deep thoughts and condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

While he prayed for the reposed of his soul, said his legacy’s and contributions will continue to inspire the Egbira nation
