Engr. Bashiru Gegu is indeed a dedicated and passionate supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC), reflecting his strong commitment to the party and its ideals.
Engr. Gegu’s Profile speaks volumes to
Loyalty and Passion. He’s known for his unwavering loyalty to Tinubu and the APC, evident in his public statements and actions.
His Leadership role, serving as Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources in Kogi State, showcasing his leadership capabilities are statements that he desires to be an apostle of President Tinubu.
One thing that stands Engr. Gegu out amongst the run of other political actors in Kogi State is his loyalty. Yes, he is Loyal to former Gov Yahaya Bello and has shifted it to Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo. You can’t take that away from him.
Working closely with the former Governor, his passion for his policies, which made the administration of former Gov Bello stands out, will always make him to remain committed to him.
That Engr. Gegu owes alot of credit to former Gov Bello, unlike others who speak from both sides of the mouth is what distinguishes him from many others. The loyalty shown by Engr. Gegu is stem from the fact that you don’t bite the fingers that feeds you.
To tell you that Loyalty is Engr. Gegu’s staying power is equally reflective in his loyalty to Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo. This loyalty not only brings him closer to the powers that be.

As an APC advocate, he’s expressed confidence in Tinubu and Governor Ododo’s victory in 2027, highlighting his optimism about APC’s prospects.
His Personal Qualities described as humble, selfless, compassionate, and innovative, with a strong focus on fairness and equity, has earned him notable achievements and endorsements
Thus far, Engr. Bashiru has received awards for outstanding performance and humanitarian contributions.
He has caused thousands of defections to APC, Influenced significant defections to APC in Kogi State, underscoring his influence.
His support for Tinubu is expressed in the belief in Tinubu’s leadership and APC’s growth, amidst Nigeria’s political dynamics.
One thing that will continue to make Engr. Gegu stands out is his humanitarian Focus, which emphasizes helping others, encapsulated in his quote, “The essence of living is to help each other. If you cannot help, don’t hurt each other.”

It therefore misleading, the publication by one Omera Ugbede Opaluwa, which attempts to distort the statements made by Engr. Bashiru in an attempt to create unnecessary controversy.
Omera’s claims are far removed from the content of the video where Engr. Gegu expressed concerns about the potential consequences of ignoring former Governor Yahaya Bello’s influence in Kogi State, given his significant impact on the state’s political landscape.
It is unfortunate that the words were not about Faleke or any individual but rather about the potential repercussions of underestimating FGYB’s clout.
Engr. Bashiru’s video was a direct message to those who have misconstrued the endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term as insensitive or for show.
The general public is therefore urged to understand that it is a genuine expression of support for PBAT’s vision and leadership, in his ability to continue driving the nation’s progress.
Omera Ugbede Opaluwa has therefore advised to exercise restraint and professionalism in his social media engagements.
His sensationalism and misrepresentation of facts have far-reaching consequences. Focusing on constructive dialogue and nation-building is what Engr. Bashiru thinks should be the priority.
