I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love shown to me yesterday as we marked my 47th birthday with an empowerment programme for our people. Words are truly not enough to express my gratitude.
I sincerely appreciate everyone who took time out to grace the occasion — our traditional rulers, political leaders, party stakeholders, women and youth groups, my team, my family, friends and the good people of Kogi State.
You did not just come to celebrate me, you came to celebrate humanity, because we chose to mark the day not with a lavish party, but by putting smiles on the faces of widows, youths and the less privileged.
My special appreciation goes to His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, and His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for their fatherly support and for always inspiring us to give back to the people.
To all beneficiaries of the empowerment, I pray that Almighty Allah blesses and multiplies what you have received.
Thank you for your prayers, your presence, your gifts and your love. I do not take it for granted.
May Allah reward you abundantly and may we live long to witness many more birthdays together in good health and prosperity.
