From time immemorial, high-profile individuals have not been spared on social media as they have been constantly bashed through series of mischievious videos published online.

The purpose of such videos were usually to batter their image or personal vendatta brought to the public domain.

We’re in the 21st century. The idea of making a video by a group or an individual to dent the image of their perceived enemy is not new. Sometimes, such videos were published for monetary gain or out of envy.

In Africa, Nigeria particularly, where the citizens enjoys the right of Freedom of Speech. Unfortunately, many are not in the know that this constitutional right is not an absolute right as the same constitution sets limit on freedom of speech when it conflicts with others rights and protection, such as in the case of slander and libel.

More so, In Nigeria, like in other sane climes, where social media is supposed to serve as an entertainment and enlightement platform, but unfortunately it plays otherwise roles. It has become a leveller and created the avenue for Nigerians to tongue-lashed their leaders especially when they share different political ideologies or practice different religion.

On the scandalous video made by 2rich, the irony was that during the condemnation, we made it trend.

At first, 2rich said he only made reference to the conversation he had with Engr. Abubakar Sadiq Ohere (FNSE) long time ago and and he was not in anyway indicting him with his video

When the argument reached its boiling point, he came out to challenge those that he felt were against his video.

This is the time to call for caution in the midst of diverse opinions.

Some persons were of the opinion that some dogs should be left unfed otherwise they will only gather more strength to bite you.

Many saw it as a handshake extended beyond the elbow and in Africa, such handshake is culturally offensive.

However and whatever your take on the video might be, it’s ambigous and barely makes sense to a large number of people that watched it.

While some felt there was no point making a rejoinder in form of another video, others felt it’s a political gimmick as it has become a style for most artiste in Kogi state to get the attention of our politicians.

Whatever opinion you hold, It’s a case of call a rose by any other name, it will definitely still smell nice. Engr. Abubakar Sadiq Ohere (FNSE), the Honourable Commissioner for Works and Housing is a man of many parts who made his mark while holding sway as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the state and still performing excellently well beyond our expectations in his present position. It’s no doubt that he’s a performing Commissioner.

From investigations made by concerned persons, it’s becoming glaring that there is no iota of truth in the falsehood being peddled by the hustler.

Personally, I think Engr. Abubakar Sadiq Ohere (FNSE), the Honourable Commissioner for Works and Housing should earn our respects even more for his maturity in handling issues. He’s indeed, an astutue politician, a true democrat of great repute that is endowed with uncommon perseverance and doggedness.

It’s obvious that he is a white garment that cannot be stained by man. This is a man that wasn’t even interested in rejoinders in whatever form.

Like the man who the gods have conspired to assist, he conquered. It’s no doubt that the power behind him is greater than the force that is trying to pull him down.

This is not the time to pullute the social media space. We have a business at hand ahead of 2023.

I think it’s high time our artiste realised they command a large crowd and their actions and in-actions are also factors that shapen our society . The effects of their actions at the extreme will boomerang on them and their career. Therefore, they should be known for moral rectitude, brilliance of idea and wisdom.

They must learn to accord respect to people in leadership position today, if only they know, they could attain such position tomorrow.

To Engr. Abubakar Sadiq Ohere (FNSE). You have been a blessing to the people of Ebiraland and Kogi state. “The reward for good is good”. Do not deterred from the way that has earned you respect among your people. When flowers blooms, bees comes uninvited. You’re a shining star.

To 2rich, to reach the peak of your choosen career, strive to learn not to always develop a cold attitude towards a successful man and stop boiling in anger whenever you are advised to act correctly.

And lastly, do not fight a lion if you’re not one. So, be wise!

God bless Kogi State and Nigeria.

Gyb2Pyb is Sacrosanct.
