The Edo State Police Command, has debunked the rumour of the porpurted escape of Mr. Emmanuel Ehonor, aka (Joker boy), who was alleged to have escaped from the Police custody on his way to court.
Emmanuel Ehonor, aka, Joker Boy has been in Police detention for
insulting His Royal Majesty, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolor, Oba Ewuare II. Oba of Benin Kingdom in Social Media Video.
Reacting to the porpurted escape,
the Public Relations Officers, (PPRO), SP Kontongs said, Emmanuel Ehonor, aka (Joker boy), was arrianged in Court on Tuesday by the Police.
He said, ” Emmanuel Ehonor was arraigned in Court on Tuesday , but he was set free by the court for no case submission.
“The Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, has directed that he has no case to answer.So on that ground he was set free by the Court.
“It is true that after he was set free by the court, an attempt was made by the Police to rearrest him, he then escaped from the court premises, he did not escape from Police Custody as being rumoured around”. he concluded..
