The Kogi State Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon. Daniel O’Neil Ejigbo has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing Electrification by the Gov. Yahaya Bello’s administration, described Gov. Bello as Rural friendly.
Speaking with the Nigerian Post Newspaper, the Commissioner said about the Light Up Kogi East Project that has seen to the electrication of Kogi East Senatorial District, other areas have benefitted from the electrication project in the State.
The Commissioner listed the Supply/procurement of 6Nos. of 500KVA/33KV/0.415KV transformer at MRD Headquarters, Step down of transformers at:
(a) Odokoro in Ijumu LGA
(b) Ileteju/Ogidi in Ijumu LGA
(c) Ekirin Adde in Ijumu LGA
(d) Iyara in Ijumu LGA
(e) Owode/Ogidi in Ijumu LGA
8. Step down of 500KVA/33KV/0.415KV transformer at Ife Olukotun
9. Completion of electrification of Isanlu GRA, Yagba East
10. Electrification project at some communities in Adavi Eba:
(a) Opetu community
(b) Ebachi community
(c) Apachi Adoza community
(d) Irevure Eba community
(e) Ikamani/Adador community, as some outstanding contributions of the present administration to electrication project in rural areas.
The Commissioner further said the electrication project has also made impact in the Step down of transformers at Karara/Igoti community, Kogi LGA, Electrification project at Irepeni/Oziokutu, Adavi LGA, Electrification of Araba Salifu, Ajonugbelegu Emewe Opada I & II Community, Abocho, Dekina LGA with Additional Work at Ajakalaga, Okowowolo, Ofoda.
Hon. Ejigbo mentioned the Step down and Installation of 500KVA/33KV/0.415KV transformer at Omoko, Kogi LGA, Completion and connection to the National Grid of the following communities in Kogi LGA:
(a) Onzo
(b) Robomi
(c) Kusa
(d) Tazeyin, as well as the Completion of electrification projct at Irepeni 1 & II communities, Adavi LGA as part of the Gov. Bello’s impact in rural development, described the Prophet as having direct impact on the lives of the people.
