EIDIL MAULUD: KOGI STATE JNI CALLS FOR SOBER REFLECTIONS
Kogi State chapter of Jama’atu Nasril Islam has called on Muslims in the State to reflect soberly and intensify prayers for the nation as they celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad, SAW.
The call is contained in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Ambassador Usman Bello, and Secretary, Alhaji Isa Adeboye in Lokoja today.
The Islamic body stressed the need for Muslims to imbibe the lessons of piety and discipline, as exemplified by the Prophet of Islam and strive to make indelible contributions to nation building.
The statement further called on the Ummah to pray for the success of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in his zeal to transform Kogi State into an egalitarian society, full of opportunities for all.
The organisation used the opportunity to caution against extravagance in the cause of the celebration to avoid unpleasant situations.
