Kogi state Auditor General, Alh.Yakubu Okala has felicitated with the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the entire Moslem brothers and sisters on the occasion of the celebration of this year’s Eid el Maulud which marked the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad[SAW]
Okala in a message of felicitation to the Governor, Moslem Ummah and the generality of the people of the state and made available to newsmen , admonished Muslims and other Nigerians to pray for peace,progress,and unity of the country.
He explained that Eid Mawlid is generally not a moment of merry making but a period of for deep sober reflection and devotion therefore Muslims are expected to use the occasion to ponder on the myriad of challenges confronting the country;to retrace our steps,renew our faith in Allah and imbibe the true meaning of piety, sacrifice, patience, and fellowship as exemplified by the Holy Prophet.
His words: Moslems and indeed the citizenry, irrespective of faith or creed should use the occasion to settle our difference, shun negative acts,seek the face of Allah and ask for His mercy in this trying moment especially our brothers and sisters that have been rendered homeless as a result of the raging flood in our state”.Okala further reiterated.
Okala further asked the believers of the Holy Prophet Muhammad [SAW] in the spirit of the season to imbibe the attributes/virtues of Godliness,peace, understanding, sacrifice, patience, and above all brotherhood as epitomised by the Holy Prophet.
He wish Muslim Ummah and all Nigerians happy Eid Mawlid celebration.
