EID EL-KABIR: PDP Idah Federal Constituency Candidate Ukwenya Greets Muslims, Urges Sacrifice and Unity
The PDP candidate for Idah Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Paul Ukwenya, has congratulated Muslims across the constituency on the occasion of this year’s Eid el-Kabir.
In a statement, Ukwenya described Eid el-Kabir as a sacred period that embodies sacrifice, obedience, tolerance, faith, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
He urged Muslims and Nigerians at large to use the celebration to pray for sustained peace, unity, progress, and economic stability in Idah Federal Constituency and the nation.
Ukwenya also called on citizens to remain committed to good governance, the security of lives and property, infrastructural development, and the overall wellbeing of the people.
He appealed to political leaders, community stakeholders, and residents to promote peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and compassion for the less privileged during and after the festivities.
While wishing Muslims a peaceful and rewarding celebration, the House of Representatives hopeful prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the sacrifices and supplications of the faithful and grants Nigeria lasting peace and prosperity.
