Eid el Kabir: KOGI FORMER DEPUTY GOVERNOR GREETS MUSLIMS, CALLS FOR PRAYERS, PEACE, UNITY
Kogi State former Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba, has congratulated the entire Muslim Ummah in Kogi State and all over Nigeria on the festive occasion of Eid el Kabir.
Achuba, in a goodwill message he personally signed, reflected that Sallah festival holds profound significance, urging Muslims to pray for peace and unity of the country especially as Nigerians are going into elections in 2027.
He reminded the citizens of the virtues of obedience, sacrifice, and untiring commitment to divine will and the common good of humanity.
The former Deputy Governor further called on all Muslim faithful to leverage the spiritual essence of this period to offer prayers for accelerated progress and development in Nigeria.
He also emphasized the importance of sharing feasts, extending acts of charity, and fostering mutual tolerance and peaceful coexistence among all citizens, irrespective of their religious or ethnic backgrounds.
On Muslim faithful in Kogi state, Achuba urged them to uphold the values learnt from the teachings of Prophet Mohammed and remain peaceful with their neighbours.
The former Deputy Governor, also enjoined the celebrants and the entire Kogites to be security cautious and shun any act capable of causing unrest in the state.
He said: “I wish all Muslims happy Sallah celebrations. I pray that the blessings of this season fill your home with bliss, peace, and prosperity. Barka de Sallah”.
