Kogi State former Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba has felicitated with the Muslim brothers and sisters and indeed all Kogites on this year Eid el Kabir.
Elder Achuba, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester, said Eid-el-Kabir is an auspicious time to reflect on the virtues of total submission to Allah, of giving or sharing with neighbours, sacrifice and other acts of piety.
He said the occasion also avails Muslims and all Nigerians the opportunity to reflect on their personal lives and call on God to intervene in all situations for the good of the country.
The former Deputy Governor noted that the over-riding concern of all Nigerians at this period should be how to reciprocate in their personal lives, national responsibilities and God’s great love for the country.
He maintained that the occasion of Eid el Kabir offered Muslim faithfuls an opportunity to make more reasonable sacrifices, re-enact God’s love for mankind, and obey His commands unconditionally.
On Kogites, the former Deputy Governor encourage them to celebrate and also remember the less privileged, saying the occasion called for love and sacrifice.
While urging Kogites to be security conscious as they mark the great day, he wished all the Muslim sisters and brothers a memorable and rewarding Eid-el-Kabir.
