Eid-el-Kabir: Idahosa Solicit Prayers For Okpebholo To Sustain Development

The Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa has urged Muslim faithfuls in the state not to relent on their prayers to Governor Monday Okpebholo for him to sustain the infrastructural drive across the state.

In his message of felicitation to the Muslims on the Eid-el-Kabir celebration through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Friday Aghedo, the deputy governor, also appealed for the sustainance of peace in Edo state.

He emphasized that the governor remains committed to delivering more dividends of democracy to the people.

While describing Okpebholo as an exemplary and passionate leader, asserted that it was only in an atmosphere of peace that development can take place.

According to him, the governor’s efforts in infrastructure, governance, and human capital development have been valuable to the state’s growth and much needed to be done, but only in peaceful environment.

“Governor Monday Okpebholo has demonstrated strong commitment to improving the welfare of Edo people through people-oriented policies and developmental initiatives.

“I urge all Edo citizens to continue supporting the administration as the governor has more developmental plans and dividends of democracy in stock for the people of the state.”

Idahosa described Eid el-Kabir as a season that reflects the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, love, and total devotion to God.

He urged the Muslim faithful to continue promoting peace, tolerance, compassion, and unity, noting that such values remain essential for the growth and stability of Edo State and the nation at large.

According to the Deputy Governor, the celebration should also serve as a reminder to citizens, irrespective of religion or ethnic affiliation, to work together for the collective progress and prosperity of the state.

The Deputy Governor assured residents that the administration would continue to focus on good governance, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, security, and economic growth aimed at repositioning Edo State for greater progress.

Idahosa wished the Muslim Ummah a peaceful, joyous, and spiritually fulfilling Eid al-Adha celebration.
