Eid El Kabir: Hon. Sunday Steve Karimi Felicitates with Muslim faithful


 

urges for sacrifice, unity and peace to prevail.

A two time Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Sunday Steve Karimi, has sent a message of felicitation to Nigerians, Citizens of Kogi State, particularly those from Kogi West Senatorial District on the celebration of this year’s Eid El Kabir, urging for unity and peace to prevail.

Hon. Karimi served in the House of Representatives between 2011 to 2019, congratulated Muslim faithful for witnessing yet another Eid El Kabir Celebration.

The former Lawmaker noted that a better nation, State and Kogi West Senatorial District would be better achieved if everyone makes sacrifice in working for a united Society.

Hon. Karimi in a signed statement and issued to Newsmen on Monday, said the period calls for sober reflection, assuring that inspite the challenges facing the nation, with sacrifices, the challenges are surmountable.

“I enjoin us to use the period of the festival to uphold the spiritual benefits of the celebration by extending a hand of friendship and solidarity across all divides and imbibing the spirit of sacrifice and obedience to the higher authority as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim and upheld by Prophet Muhammed.

“This is an opportunity for us to reflect and pray for our nation, State and Kogi West Senatorial District in particular; prayed for our dear President for God’s guidance and good health and prayed for all those in leadership positions, particularly Gov. Yahaya Bello, the Muslim faithful for God in his infinite mercies to continue to guide them as they steer the affairs of the country and as the people follow up with the policies and programs of government”.
