Eid-el-Fitr: Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris Celebrates with Muslims umaah, urges sustenance of Ramadan lessons

 

The Honourable Commissioner of Finance,Budget and Economic Planning, Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris,FCA has congratulated Muslims in Kogi West senatorial district and the entire state on the occasion of this year’s eid-el-Fitr celebration.

According to the statement released through his media assistant, Asiwaju urged all Muslim faithfuls to embrace the teachings of prophet Mohammed, which accentuates the values of love, empathy, tolerance, togetherness and peaceful coexistence. He enjoin all faithfuls to allow the lessons of Ramadan and eid-el-Fitr to take stronghold in their heart, beyond the merriment and fanfare of the season.

In his words, ” The only way Muslims can show that the lessons preached suring Ramadan was not on vain is for them to continuously strive to be better versions of who they were, noting that it is also among the best ways to move the society,.particularly Kogi state forward.

” This is a said this is a time for leaders and kogites in general to rededicate themselves to the service of God and humanity and to commit to the promotion of peace, love and unity in their communities and the country at large”.

Asiwaju expressed gratitude to kogites in general for their steadfastness, prayers, and support for the state government under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, stressing that despite many challenges, the state has continued to get it right by maintaining a trajectory of sustainable development and progress in the confluence. He enjoined all, regardless of religion, to sustain the disposition of prayers and an ideology of projecting the state in the face of gloom and economic uncertainty.

He admonished that every act of celebration must be within the ambit of the law, saying no one should jeopardise their lives or violate the law of the land hiding under the guise of eid-el-Fitr celebration.

He prays that this eid-el-Fitr will bring peace, happiness, and prosperity to everyone and also grant them the grace to witness many more successful Ramadan. Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minkum. Eid Mubarak.
